My confidence issues are very real.

We all lack confidence — some of us just get better at ignoring it.

Last week I shared in an old tech female founders group that, after eighteen months of deep rest, I’d finally regained my confidence through reflection and hypnotherapy. A few women messaged me privately to say they couldn’t believe I ever had confidence issues.

Of course I do. Everyone does. Even the world’s richest man feels self doubt. Even the most accomplished athlete experiences fear.

The real question is: do you let it stop you?

I’ve never been someone who lets anything — except my own physical energy and health — stand between me and the things I want to create. I love seeing an idea travel from my brain into reality. And yes, I also do it to prove something to myself (see last week’s newsletter). Most of my projects begin with one simple sentence:

“Wouldn’t it be cool if…”

I just like making things happen. So a lack of confidence doesn’t usually stop me — it just makes the process more painful, and it often limits how far I’ll take something.

My lack of confidence doesn’t halt my ambition, but it can quietly shrink it.

So before I step into this week’s diary, here are my confidence boosting tools for anyone feeling paralysed, stuck, or too unsure to move forward:
