What I Mean When I Talk About Women’s Issues
The Trumpian roll back of DEI will not eradicate the centuries of work for the rights of women. he will come and go and yet our work will remain. And yet, even with the knowledge that everything is temporary, I’m still alarmed at the way that gender equity has fallen out of favour as the topic du jour.
It could simply be my algorithm, which searches in the dark because I decline suggested posts and follow no one. Or it could be because my new mission to move the needle on equality is through film and storytelling rather than business/tech which means I am not so often in rooms where the policy voice is present.
But either way, I needed to write a reminder, mostly for myself, on the state of things. What follows is everything that swirls in my mind and what I really mean when I talk about women’s issues…
