Day 8 - Casting and Writing Creative Briefs

Imagine I’m driving back from the gym, going through the village when I see a big glistening body, sweating in the sun running up a steep hill. Wearing just blue shorts, sneakers, and socks. No phone, no headphones, no top.
Even in the split second I drove past him, I saw that his shape, that physique he had, was a look I wanted represented in my brand. It was muscly and toned and the sweat was kinda x-rated. I’ve been thinking about returning to an 80s gym body or a Roman athletic physique. Kinda big, sometimes barrelly, well proportioned, thick legs to chest. In the blur of my rear-view mirror, he had it.
Casting is such a personal thing and such a one in a million thing, so after a quick judgment, I did a U-Turn, pulled up alongside him and through my open passenger seat window said, “I don’t mean to be creepy, but are you a model?”
“Well, no, no yet,“ he said and I said “ I think you’d be great for my brand.”
“Really?“ he said, while all the sweat was dripping on my beige leather seats as his head poked through the window.
“You’re sweating,” I said
“It’s a cleanse”, he replied, and that moment, I knew he was perfect for 39BC.
You see, I haven’t discussed the world building all too much, but I have created four products based on four characters in ancient times, and one of them is a priest who is on a spiritual cleanse.
Just that phrase he said - It’s a cleanse. I knew I found my guy.
So I go to his Instagram and to my surprise, he had this picture which almost perfectly matches the product copy I wrote...
After the paywall, my street model reveal, the art of casting and writing a creative brief for a model and or their agent.
