I've been trying to figure out a way to explain what I mean when I say Brand Vehicles. If you remember my Ultimate Brand Building Checklist, there was a section on Brand Vehicles. I knew what I meant when I created it, but like most of my writing, it was a bit convoluted. So let me try again to explain.
Your brand vehicles are absolutely imperative in the world-building process to create additional surface area for your brand. Brands are strongest when you can strip everything away such as the logo, colour palette and even the product, and someone still says, "that's very <your brand>."
So here’s how I define a brand vehicle and how I decided on mine.
