Founders Diary #3 | You need to taste the thing, if you want to cook the thing

Happy Sunday my darlings. I'm currently writing this from the pool at the villa in Senegal on my New Methods for Women Writers Retreat. The rest of the crew are still at the lagoon enjoying the beach while a few of them have gone horseback riding. I came back to the villa to write this letter for you.

I've been thinking a lot about the desire to build something of a certain quality, taste, and level, and the building blocks required to actually do it.

For example, if you want to build a Michelin-star restaurant, it's not simply a case of learning how to functionally construct a restaurant. You need to have an empirical method and actually have experienced it. Multiple times, in multiple places over a long period of time.

There is something about
