The Stack World has been acquired by CLIQ!

Five years ago, in the middle of a pandemic, I started The Stack World.

What began as a pivot became a mission.

I felt there was a generation of women building businesses, changing careers, raising capital, creating culture and reinventing themselves who simply weren’t being reflected in mainstream media. I wanted to create a space where their stories, ambitions and challenges could be seen and heard.

Over the last five years, that idea grew into something much bigger than I could have imagined.

💫 We printed two newspapers.

💫 We hosted three conferences.

💫 We organised more than 4,000 events, from intimate coffee meet-ups to dinners with our favourite brands.

We partnered with incredible brands including Nike, Veuve Clicquot, Snapchat, Google and Bentley.

Most importantly, we helped thousands upon thousands of women build businesses, find community, expand their networks and believe that bigger things were possible for themselves.

Building The Stack World has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. To every member, speaker, partner, client and team member who helped shape it, thank you.

Today, I’m excited to share that The Stack World is joining CLIQ

As I enter a new chapter and focus my energy on the future, particularly the growth of 39BC and my broader work around ownership, culture and community, I wanted to find a home for this community that genuinely understood the value of bringing people together in real life.

What Nicola Gunby and Jason Iliffe have built with CLIQ is deeply aligned with that vision. Together, they've created Europe's fastest-growing community app, built on helping people to find their people and access the IRL communities and events that enrich their lives.

Since launch, CLIQ has grown into a global platform. Few teams understand the community tech space as deeply or are building for it as CLIQ is.

There has never been a greater need for belonging and there's no better home for The Stack World than CLIQ.

I’m excited to see The Stack World members continue their journey within an organisation whose entire mission is helping people build the networks, friendships and communities they need to thrive.

What this means for Stack World Members

  • The Stack World service will be closed from July 1st 2026 and all Stack Members can rejoin the community within the CLIQ Here https://www.thecliq.app/club/the-stack-world
  • Existing Premium Monthly Members will not be charged from July 1st 2026
  • Existing Premium Annual Members will be automatically refunded Pro Rata what they paid for the year.
  • All Community Events from July 1st 2026 will be cancelled within the app and Hosts will be emailed attending Member Lists.
  • All video content will remain on the platform until August 31st while we archive.
  • Any Community Hosts who want to learn how to bring their community to CLIQ can email Nicola directly and she will help get you set up: nicola.gunby@thecliq.app
