Why Haven’t You Launched Your Brand Yet?

Over the next two weeks, I'll be sharing a Brand Launch Checklist by sending you a daily live update on what I'm doing to build my brand. If you need motivation to get started, this is your sign.

Why Haven’t You Launched Your Brand Yet?

Energy is a funny thing, isn’t it? It comes and goes like the wind. Sometimes you know the reason for its sudden appearance and sometimes it’s unexplained, but we don’t all live with it 100% of the time.

Human Design is a framework that helped me understand why. It’s not a personality test. It’s more like an energetic map, showing you when to act, when to wait, and how to conserve your most precious resource: your life force.

I’m a Projector, which means I’m not built for constant doing. I am at my most elite vibes when I honour my natural energy pattern, rather than forcing consistency. In a Human Design session with Connie, she told me:

“Your energy is designed to ebb and flow. You may have periods where you feel full of energy and can go all night, and others where you need deep rest. When you’re operating in alignment, you feel successful. When you’re not, you may feel bitter, underappreciated, or resentful.”

It was a relief to hear, because I often punish myself if I'm not working at a consistent 9–9 rate. I would call myself LAZY, and my inner critic would be at its height. Sometimes it would be my physical tiredness (I’ve very low iron), but usually I just wasn’t feeling it, and I am quite privileged to do what I want, when I want.

Right now, after 3 weeks of non-stop travel, my bedroom is a mess, but I’ll clean it when the spirit moves me to 🤣.

Anyway, it made me think about all the brilliant women I know who have a brand idea inside them but haven’t launched it yet. Not because they’re lazy or flaky or unmotivated. But because they’re tired. Because the energy hasn’t been right. Because life got in the way. So let's work on that...

Why haven’t you launched your brand yet?

There are loads of tactics I use to increase my motivation. I have to create these parameters, otherwise I would get nothing done, but what’s true for me is that if I say I’m going to do something, I will be working on it. Maybe in the background slowly, like a women’s housing development, or really rapidly, like my beauty brand.

The 7 Motivational Media Methods Every Girl Should Have
Recently, on call with a fellow female founder friend she asked advice on how to “trick her brain” into being motivated. I thought this was funny because I know this feeling all too well. What do you do when you must work, but frankly, have zero motivation. Maybe it’s

Because when I decide to launch, I launch. I get focused. I get militant with my time. I set a date, I work backwards, and I hit it, no matter what.

My energy has been low for 2024. Anecdotally, I heard the vibes were off for most people. But now I’m in flow, which means I am set to harness that energy and take advantage of my desire and motivation to build again. I am going to do it INTENSELY and I’m gonna take you on the journey with me. I want to ask you again, gently:

Why haven’t you launched your brand yet?

Not in a shaming way. In a loving, curious, let’s-finally-do-this-together way. Starting tomorrow, I’m going to send you a short daily update for two weeks:

A behind-the-scenes look at everything I’m doing to launch my brand, 39BC, tools, content plan, event calendar, all of it. In the annoyingly detailed way I like to share stuff.

At the end of the two-week sprint, I’ll create a Brand Launch Checklist based on what I actually did and add it to the RESOURCES tab of this site. No gatekeeping. Just real steps from a real founder.

You don’t have to use them all, and you might just be curious about the process rather than in the throes of actually doing something. But if you’ve been waiting for the right energy to launch your brand, this might be your moment. No excuses this time!

Let’s go!
