New Method 22 | Train Your Internal Autocorrect

New Method 22 | Train Your Internal Autocorrect

This is your weekly affirmation to help you build your personal philosophy. Have a great weekend!

Take a deep breathe in...and say it with me...

We commit to reprogramming our mental autocorrect with positive statements and inputs, repeating them obsessively until they become muscle memory for self-compassion and loving kindness. Inside us all, a war is waging between our higher and lower selves, and our internal monologue of negativity is where it takes root. We do not prevent our path to growth by echoing the barrier phrases we hear around us of ‘I can’t’, ‘I won’t’, ‘I don’t’. No one is born telling themselves they can’t. Your internal autocorrect was not initially programmed by you. But now we’re an adult and so by retraining our autocorrect, we can rebuild our confidence.

Actions

  • Flip Negative Narratives: Catch yourself saying “I can’t” or “I’m not good enough,” and immediately reframe it into a positive statement like “I’m learning” or “I can try.”
  • Daily Affirmations: Start your day with positive affirmations—write them on sticky notes or set reminders on your phone.
  • Reprogram Through Repetition: Choose one area of self-doubt (e.g., public speaking or creativity) and practise a new mantra, like “I bring value,” every time doubt creeps in. Watch Inside Out to explore how internal dialogue shapes behaviour.
