Founders Diary April - Mayfair construction sites, ikebana classes, VC offices, Wolverhampton blossom, Lagos gardens, Selfridges counters, Milan design fairs, New York bathhouses, Baltimore raves
Chaos, travel, products, it never ends…
The exhaustion that comes from being everywhere at once.
Not physically—although that too—but mentally, emotionally, creatively. I’ve been moving between Switzerland, Mayfair construction sites, ikebana classes, VC offices, Wolverhampton blossom, Lagos gardens, Selfridges counters, Milan design fairs, New York bathhouses… and somewhere inside all of that, I’ve been trying to keep a sense of rhythm.
I don’t think I’ve found it yet.
What I have found is that I am behind on everything that requires consistency. Social media. Newsletters. The Stack World. Not because I don’t care—but because I have too many ideas. Hundreds of drafts. Fully formed thoughts that never quite make it out into the world. Everyone says “just post,” but content doesn’t work like that. It needs structure, it needs a system, it needs people. And I know, very clearly, that I need a content team now.
But hiring is its own project. Onboarding is its own energy. Managing people is a shift in identity. And every time I come close to doing it, I push it down the list in favour of something more immediate. Which, at the moment, is everything.
Here was March/April…
